Cranfield UniverityThe Department of Aerospace Engineering of Cranfield University School of Engineering opens opportunity for international and UK/EU applicants to apply for PhD Studentship Program in the Study on Performance-Based Navigation, 4D Flight Management and Guidance, and Air Traffic Flow Management. The successful candidates will be given opportunity to join the team of vibrant multidisciplinary to improve and develop innovative technologies for the next generations of airborne avionics and CNS/ATM Systems.

Eligibility

To be successful, the applicants should meet the criteria required as follow:

  • Having first-class or upper-second degree in

-          Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering

-          Communication engineering

-          Aeronautical engineering

-          Related disciplines

  • Great understanding in Avionics and CNS/ATM systems
  • Background knowledge in flight dynamics, performance, and control
  • Practical experience in avionics and CNS/ATM systems

Scholarship Value

The successful applicants will be awarded a maintenance allowance of £1,000/ month in the first year. This can be renewed based on the annual review results.

The applications must be submitted no later than November 30, 2013
