Medical fellowships from UK Department for International Development (DFID) are available for doctors and dentists coming from Developing Commonwealth Countries. The mid-career clinical staff will be able to learn new medical or dental skill, and practicing new medical or dental skill, and cooperate with others at the same or related fields.

These Fellowships available to doctors and dentists in their mid-career for enhancing their skill
To be eligible, the applicants must be:
-A Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or a protected persons by British
-Permanently resident at a developing Commonwealth
-Worked in a hospital that affiliated with a university which eligible in nominating candidates to Commission
-Available to begin the Fellowship in UK at 1 October 2015
-Qualified as doctor or dentist between 1 Oct 05 to 30 Sept 08, or before 1 Oct 2000
-Achieve English language requirements at the General Medical Council (GMC) or the General Dental Council (GDC) at 6 March 2015.
Each Medical Fellowship provides:
-A grant for research support
-A personal allowance at £1,563 rate per month
-Refund of a single English language test fee and GMC/GDC registration fee
-Initial arrival expense
-An approved travel (UK or overseas) grant
-No spouse or child allowance available.
The EAS will expired on 3 December 2014. No any further applications could be submitted after that.

Applications must be made by a nominated university at home country (refers to the CSC website for full list of bodies). Please contact the Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for further consideration. Make a check with them for the first instance to specific advice about how to start an application and their closing date. All application form must be submitted by using Electronic Application System (EAS).
